Happy Belated Thanksgiving. I needed to wait awhile to write on this blog because I needed to make sure everyone in our immediate family knew of our pregnancy. It came as a shock and in a funny way. On November 12 I went to this clinic with Jason to get our flu shots. We were in a study last year and we were going to participate again this year. They cannot have pregnant women in the study so they had to do an urine test on me. I have been on the pill every since Mason was born so I said no worries. The nurse pulled me out of the room and told me the test came back positive. I asked her to do it again because I told her there was no way I could be pregnant. It came back positive again. She asked me if I wanted to be alone with Jason and I said yes. He had already guessed why I had been pulled out and was shocked but excited.
I guess I didn't believe I was pregnant until I saw the heartbeat with my own eyes on November 15th. I am due on July 4th.
I must admit I was and still am dealing with many emotions. When you think you are done and then get news that you have been pregnant for over 6 weeks it is a little shocking. There can be no other reason for this baby then the fact that God wants us to have 4 children. It is truly His decision and not our own. Sometimes God needs to remind us (especially me) that He is in control and I am along for the ride.
